ALL EYES are on Alexandra Daddario, as she cuts through the crowd in a shimmering black Balenciaga gown. “I’ve been in sweatpants for almost a year, so it’s nice to wear something sparkly,” jokes the new mother. So, we’re here for the Australian Grand Prix. Who’s your favourite F1 driver, and what do you like about them?
Alexandra Daddario: It has to be Max Verstappen. What do I admire about him? I mean, he’s an incredible racer, a dedicated guy, and he wears great high quality copy watches. What’s not to like? He’s just very, very focused and dedicated.
Have you had a chance to meet him?
AD: I’ve seen him, I’ve been in the same general space as him, but I didn’t bother him. He was working. I figured he’s gotta focus on his race, you know.

AD: I think as I get older, time goes faster, but I cherish every single moment that I have with him. Every single day he’s different. Every single day he does something new — he’s a little bit bigger, and the growth is so significant. He’s four and a half months now, and I think I really respect that every single day, every single moment is meant to be cherished, because tomorrow is going to be something different. You never know what it’s going to bring.
So it’s really made me live in the moment a lot more and I think right now, in the world, we spend a lot of time buried in our phones and not living in the moment, so it’s really made me refocus on that. It’s wild to see that every day with a baby, there’s something new and different. It’s a joy. I feel very at peace, very happy.
